Professional Summary

Creating innovative solutions that drive business results by transforming the Human experience.

I am passionate about empowering people to transform norms through innovation. This process begins with the incubation of ideas, grounded in data-driven insights, systems thinking, and human-centered design, which together form the foundation for future-proof, resilient products. I encourage my teams to consider the product context, the larger ecosystem, and technological underpinnings to identify valuable opportunities for ingenuity. I am curious about devising novel ways for humans to engage with technology, creating solutions that are both meaningful and relevant. In essence, I challenge conventions while aligning with the underlying business vision and mission, to deliver more than what is expected. This approach drives growth across various dimensions, including revenue, engagement, and advocacy. The products I deliver endure for years, thanks to the holistic thinking applied during their formation. I am especially drawn to work with organizations and businesses, steadfastly supporting innovation in healthcare, intelligent analysis of big data, life sciences, ecological sustainability, and social justice.

I naturally think and work across disciplines, drawing connections that drive both business and customer value. This means the teams I lead adopt a holistic, cross-functional approach to understanding and assimilating diverse perspectives. Through a robust research and discovery cycle, we gather requirements and develop a deep understanding of user and market needs. From there, we articulate a vision and architect a product that ensures usefulness, coherency, and clarity. The result is a compelling, outcome-focused product and design strategy, accompanied by actionable, agile product roadmaps.

My interdisciplinary mindset was ignited as an undergraduate student at The Evergreen State College where I concentrated on east/west psychology, science, health and human behavior, anthropology, design, and metalsmithing. These concentration areas, seemingly unrelated, continue to influence my work and thought process today, as they taught me social constructs and interpersonal empathy as well as discipline, patience, and strategy.
